Sonoma Valley Unified School District Selects PowerSchool to Improve Student Assessment and Data Analytics Capabilities | Company

PowerSchool (NYSE: PWSC), the leading provider of cloud-based software for K-12 education in North America, today announced Sonoma Valley Unified School District (SVUSD) in Sonoma, CA selected PowerSchool Unified Classroom® Performance Matters and PowerSchool Unified Insights™ to improve the assessment and reporting skills of students in the district. Along with the district’s use of PowerSchool Student Information System (SIS) and PowerSchool Registration solutions, Performance Matters, and Unified Insights will provide SVUSD with increased visibility into the academic performance of students in the district through metrics that identify instructional gaps and create better learning outcomes.

Since beginning to implement Performance Matters and Unified Insights, SVUSD said the most useful feature was the platform’s ability to aggregate data from multiple sources into one place. Additionally, SVUSD said the combination of Performance Matters and Unified Insights’ ability to aggregate data from reports and assessments in a single location has helped increase district-wide collaboration and made data students more accessible to users at all levels. Once Performance Matters and Unified Insights are fully integrated into the district network, SVUSD plans to use the solutions to enhance the district’s Multi-Level Support System (MTSS) capabilities to better meet the personalized learning needs of every student.

In addition to Performance Matters and Unified Insights, SVUSD utilized PowerSchool’s SIS and enrollment platforms to facilitate regular student data management and district enrollment functions, respectively. With real-time data and aggregated information from PowerSchool SIS, SVUSD was able to effectively manage student information on a regular basis. Likewise, PowerSchool Enrollment’s intuitive interface and ability to create customizable application, application, and report forms has improved SVUSD’s enrollment processes.
