The roots of “December is not that cold” was December of last year when, unlike this year, the weather was cold and snowy.
Cunningham said he didn’t like the cold, so he and Binegar decided to work on a song.
“From there it kind of took off and turned into a love song” Cunningham said.
“The bottom of my heart when I had your hand to hold,” goes the lyrics of the song. “This winter, this month of December is not that cold.
Friends love the song, he said.
The music was released on December 10 and debuted on a local radio station on December 16.
