SIS Users Group Day to be held at the AAIDD Annual Meeting in DC in May 2008
A day-long session for directors and administrators within states currently using the Supports Intensity Scale is being planned for May 27, 2008. The SIS Users Group Day takes place a day before the AAIDD Annual Meeting in Washington, DC from May 28-30 at the L’Enfant Plaza hotel. Participants will learn from nationally-recognized experts, keynote speakers, software demonstrations, and discussions on hot topics pertinent to SIS. Also, participants can share experiences with SIS and network with peers! The SIS Users Group Day will begin at 10 am and is free fof charge for participants.
Currently, 14 U.S. states have adopted SIS and the Scale has been translated into 10 languages and is in use in as many countries. An agenda will soon be posted at www.siswebsite.org!
If you are a director or an administrator in a state currently using the Supports Intensity Scale Registration, the deadline for registration is April 1, 2008. Registration for the AAIDD Annual Meeting is not required in order to attend the SIS Users Group Day. Details on the registration are coming soon! For questions please email books@aaidd.org.
